Muslim Coordination Committee for Justice The Muslim Community reaction in relation to the offensive cartoons and subsequent events

(Montréal, Qc. 08/02/06) – The Muslim Community representatives will be holding a press conference in response to the offensive and insulting cartoon depiction of Prophet Mohammed. The unfortunate violence associated with some of the protests, the wrong responses and the rise of Islamophobia will also be addressed. Furthermore, we will reiterate our strong stand against all hateful or malicious representations of any ethnic, racial or religious group, as we denounce all acts and statements of racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.
